London Collections: Men – A Look into the World of Men’s Fashion

The wait is almost over; the next Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is just a month away! If that seems too long of a wait, no need to worry,  fashion lovers were treated with a fashion fix this week on the runways of London. And this time, it was the men’s turn to shine.

London Collections: Men kicked off their week, showcasing the forgotten world of men’s fashion. Rapper Tinie Tempah was named the new ambassador for the event. He took his new role quite seriously and teamed up with the Museum of London and Savile Row tailor Norton & Son’s, to design his own bespoke three-piece suit for the event.

The suit was made from a new fabric designed by the Museum of London called “Museum of London Tweed.” After the London Collections: Men’s week is over, the suit will be acquired by the museum and go down in menswear history.

“I think we’re (London) the reason why most people wear three-piece suits,” the rapper said while trying on his new design.

Alexander McQueen and Moschino were just a few of the many top designers participating in the four day long event. Watching from the front rows were some of fashion’s biggest names, including model David Gandy and former London Collections: Men ambassador, Nick Grimshaw.
