Below are a couple links to some videos that are very good information sources.
1) Actor’s Slate Reel – These are actual Actor Slate Reels for you to view as an example. An Actor’s Slate Reel is essentially a 1-2 minute talking headshot. It gives the Casting Director an idea of who you are, beyond your headshot. These can be essential when going up for a role in a movie/film. etc. If you want to shoot an Actor’s Slate Reel, call the office.
2) Inside Casting – This is an interesting interview with David Rapaport, a very well-known Casting Director in LA. He explains, from the Casting Director’s point of view, what an audition is like and the thought process involved in choosing an actor for a certain role.
