Upcoming Acting Workshops

As requested, we’ve got some great acting workshops scheduled for the new year!! They are perfect for the seasoned Actor as well as Aspiring Actor (not just for IZON people either)! IZON, along with our very special Kevin P. Kern, will be offering a series of acting workshops beginning in January in our Pensacola office. These are 5-week sessions, once a week for 2 hours, (Tuesday nights, 6-8pm). Class space is limited, so please email or call to reserve your spot. Details are below:

Acting I – (Jan 12, 26, Feb 2, 9, 16) – 10 hours total – $250
The building blocks on which the study of Acting is constructed will be covered in this course. Regardless of the particular method one chooses to use, certain elements are common to all systems. Through a series of exercises, scenes, and monologues, this class will provide a solid foundation to those actors intent on refining their craft. We will even touch on the basics of Improv–today’s must have for actors.

Acting II – (Mar 2, 9, 16, 23, Apr 6) – 10 hours total – $250
The Actress/Director/Teacher Uta Hagen has created a strong method of actor training with its roots in the work of Russian theorist Constantine Stanislavski. What makes Hagen’s technique so worthwhile is her background as an actress; her work is practical, not simply theoretical. This course will cover her work as it applies to live theatre as well as film. We will also cover the art of auditioning and audition on tape.

Acting III – (Apr 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18) – 10 hours total – $250
The final section of the work is a more detailed exploration of the craft and its application in film and television, and the specific challenges unique to those genres, particularly focusing on acting for the camera and on a green screen. Also, create an Actor’s Slate Reel–an essential tool for today’s actor!
